We’re excited to introduce UniFi CyberSecure by Proofpoint, a new add on service for your existing Ubiquiti Dream Machine network security appliance. This service enhances the security provided by the Dream Machine by actively monitoring your network traffic for the signatures of over 95,000 known threats, and new signatures are added daily in real-time to ensure protection against emerging threats. UniFi CyberSecure provides cutting edge network protection, detecting, disrupting, and preventing a host of cyberattacks.

But wait, is this a Dream Machine subscription? Yes and no. You purchased a Ubiquiti Dream Machine network security appliance with the promise that there was no subscription, and that remains true. Dream Machines are very competent security devices on their own, and perform the same functions that UniFi CyberSecure does, just to a lesser extent. UniFi CyberSecure is a subscription that enhances the security provided by your Dream Machine. It operates in a wider scope than the base Dream Machine, utilizing a larger set of threat signatures and receiving more frequent updates. While we recommend adding a subscription to UniFi CyberSecure, it is entirely optional.

Why should you add UniFi CyberSecure to your security toolbox? There are certainly many ways to improve IT security, but no one approach is adequate by itself. That’s why effective IT security utilizes multiple approaches to defense, creating layer upon layer of security.
